The CPVC Intalox Saddle is a high-performance random packing manufactured from chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), a material engineered to overcome the temperature and chemical limitations of standard PVC. By increasing the chlorine content to 61%–65%, CPVC achieves a heat distortion temperature up to 105°C and significantly improved resistance to chlorine gas, sodium hypochlorite, and sodium hydroxide—making it uniquely suited to the chlor-alkali industry and other aggressive chemical services. The saddle-shaped geometry prevents interlocking and nesting, ensuring uniform bed porosity, while the arched liquid channels and internal vanes promote intimate gas-liquid contact with minimal drag. Compared to CPVC Pall rings, the Intalox Saddle delivers higher flux and lower pressure drop with comparable or better mass transfer efficiency. It is widely used in absorption, scrubbing, stripping, and cooling towers across chemical, chlor-alkali, and environmental protection industries.
