The PVC Pall Ring is a widely used random packing manufactured from polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It retains the proven Pall ring geometry—a cylindrical body with two rows of open windows and inwardly bent tongues—which ensures high voidage, uniform gas-liquid contact, and low pressure drop. PVC material provides good resistance to most inorganic acids, alkalis, and salt solutions at a lower cost than CPVC, PVDF, or PTFE. Its moderate temperature limit of 60°C makes it suitable for many cooling, scrubbing, and wastewater treatment applications where aggressive chemicals are present but process temperatures remain moderate. The smooth PVC surface also resists scale build-up, and the lightweight construction reduces tower structural load and simplifies installation.
