The Plastic Hollow Ball, also widely known as Polyhedral Hollow Ball Packing or Plastic Hollow Floating Ball, is a versatile plastic random packing formed from two hemispheres that assemble into a hollow sphere. Each hemisphere contains multiple semi-fan-shaped blades arranged in a staggered pattern around a central reinforcing ring. This structure creates a packing with high free volume, uniform porosity, and excellent gas-liquid distribution. Made from chemically resistant thermoplastics including PP, PE, PVC, CPVC, RPP, PVDF, and PTFE, it is suitable for a broad range of operating temperatures and corrosive environments. Beyond tower packing, the hollow ball is widely used as a floating covering layer on liquid surfaces to suppress evaporation, control heat loss, and prevent mist or odor release in tanks, basins, and treatment units.
