    The Ceramic Super Intalox Saddle, also referred to as Ceramic Super Saddle Ring or Ceramic Hetero-Saddle Ring, is an advanced random packing developed as a significant improvement over the standard Ceramic Intalox Saddle. Its defining design feature is the transformation of the original smooth curved side surfaces into serrated or corrugated edges, with additional openings that connect the inner and outer surfaces—resulting in enhanced fluid communication and higher mass transfer efficiency.

    • Enhanced Fluid Distribution: Serrated and corrugated side surfaces create larger interstitial voids within the packed bed, promoting more uniform gas and liquid flow while effectively preventing channeling and wall flow. 
    • High Mass Transfer Efficiency: Additional openings connect inner and outer surfaces, increasing free liquid channels and providing larger effective interfacial area for faster, more efficient mass transfer. 
    • Low Pressure Drop: The optimized void structure and interconnected flow paths significantly reduce gas flow resistance, delivering lower pressure drop compared to standard ceramic Intalox saddles and Raschig rings. 
    • Superior Acid Resistance: High-alumina ceramic composition resists all inorganic and organic acids (except hydrofluoric acid), with acid resistance >99.5%, ensuring reliable performance in highly corrosive chemical environments. 
    • High Temperature Stability: Withstands operating temperatures up to 1100–1400°C, making it suitable for the most demanding high-temperature industrial applications. 
    • Ideal for Sulfuric Acid Plants: Widely adopted in sulfuric acid production drying towers and absorption towers, where its anti-nesting design and corrosion resistance deliver consistent long-term performance.
